Symmetries Do Not Exist

In honour of #WorldArtDay and #NationalPoetryMonth, I created a poem for submission to Wood Buffalo initiative: “Queering Activism in Wood Buffalo”, a book project that seeks to explore the intersections of being queer and doing activism in our region.  

Symmetry Doesn’t Exist

Oracle

Performed in the round, Oracle built two separate sound-dependent spaces, and questioned whether the digital world brought those spaces closer together, or pushed them further apart.
